CINEMATOGRAPHYThe cinematography in Atonement is absolutely breathtaking. The entire beginning is filled with picturesque scenes and on top of this the movie contains an amazing 5 minute long shot that takes the viewer on a long walk through a war scene filled with details.

ACTING
Keira Knightly and James McAvoy do an amazing job at creating a special play between each other. Their love scene in the beginning of the movie feels so real and is literally breathtaking (!). Saoirse Ronan also does an amazing job at being the gullible young girl whose accusations turn into a big misunderstanding.
STORY DEVELOPMENT
The way the story develops is very interesting and when you watch the movie you will love the twist in the end. Very surprising and moving.
